Dry, rough heels are one of those things you can ignore all winter… until the thongs come out. 😂
Suddenly you're looking at your feet thinking, when did THAT happen?
The good news? Looking after dry heels doesn’t need to mean expensive pedicures, messy tubs of foot cream or a 12-step foot care routine.
That’s exactly why we created the Glydelle Smooth Heel Stick.
Why do heels get so dry in the first place?
The skin on your heels naturally deals with a lot.
Every day, it’s exposed to pressure, friction, walking, standing and going barefoot. Unlike other areas of the body, the soles of your feet also don’t have sebaceous glands producing oil to help keep the skin moisturised.
Over time, the skin can become dry, thick and rough, particularly around the edges of the heel.
And once that dryness starts building up, your regular body moisturiser might not feel like enough.
Meet the Smooth Heel Stick
We wanted to make heel care ridiculously easy.
The Glydelle Smooth Heel Stick is a solid heel balm designed to be swiped directly onto dry, rough heels, so you can moisturise your feet without getting thick foot cream all over your hands.
No scooping cream out of a tub.
No greasy hands.
No complicated routine.
Just twist, swipe and go.
But the stick format is only part of what makes it special.
Why we formulated it with 10% urea
If you’ve ever looked closely at a good heel product, you’ve probably seen urea on the ingredient list.
And there’s a reason for that.
Urea is naturally found in the skin as part of its Natural Moisturising Factor and is commonly used in skincare to help attract and retain moisture.
At 10% urea, the Smooth Heel Stick is designed to help soften and moisturise dry, rough skin while supporting smoother-feeling heels with regular use.
In other words, we didn’t just want to coat dry heels. We wanted a formula specifically created for the type of thick, dry skin found on your feet.
Shea butter for rich moisture
We paired urea with shea butter, a rich emollient packed with fatty acids.
Shea butter helps soften the skin and reduce moisture loss, making it perfect for those rough, dry areas around the heel.
It also gives the Smooth Heel Stick that rich balm texture that stays where you actually put it.
Vitamin E to care for dry skin
We also added vitamin E, an antioxidant commonly used in skincare to help condition and support the skin.
Combined with urea and shea butter, it helps turn a simple heel balm into a little bit of skincare specifically for your feet.
Because your heels deserve skincare too. 🤍
The step everyone forgets: removing built-up dry skin
Moisturising is important, but if you have a layer of thick, rough skin sitting on your heels, sometimes they need a little extra help.
That's where the Glydelle Smooth Step Foot File comes in.
Use the file on dry skin to gently buff away built-up roughness, then follow with your Smooth Heel Stick to moisturise and soften the freshly filed skin.
Think of it as a two-step routine:
-
Smooth: Gently file away rough, built-up dry skin.
-
Soften: Swipe on your Smooth Heel Stick to moisturise and condition.
Simple enough to actually keep doing.
How to use your Smooth Heel Stick
For best results, apply your Smooth Heel Stick regularly to clean, dry heels.
Twist the product up slightly and swipe it directly over rough or dry areas. There’s no need to use heaps. Apply an even layer and let the balm do its thing.
For an extra little foot-care moment, apply it before bed and pop on a pair of socks.
And when your heels need some extra smoothing, bring out your Smooth Step Foot File before applying your balm.
Your pedicure can be a treat, not a necessity
We love a pedicure as much as the next person.
But sometimes you don’t want to book an appointment every time your heels start looking a little rough.
The Smooth Heel Stick was made for the everyday maintenance in between.
Keep it beside your bed. Pop it in the bathroom. Swipe it on after your shower. Make it part of your routine before the thongs come out.
Because smooth, moisturised heels shouldn’t require an appointment.
Smooth. Swipe. Done.
Your heels are officially ready for thong season. 🤍
